We’re excited to announce that Vodafone Germany, a leading telecommunications company, has partnered with Senken to achieve carbon neutrality for its Scope 1 and 2 emissions. This partnership is more than a milestone — it is a signal that the future of climate action is rigorous and transparent.

Vodafone achieves Scope 1 & 2 Carbon Neutrality with Senken

Vodafone Germany has reached an important milestone in its sustainability journey, achieving carbon neutrality for its operational emissions (Scopes 1 & 2). After reducing these emissions by an impressive 93%, Vodafone chose Senken to address its remaining unavoidable emissions with high-quality carbon removal projects.

As Ivo Beyer, Vodafone’s Sustainability Manager highlights:

Quality was a top priority in selecting carbon carbon credits. Senken’s 600 datapoint due diligence filters out 95% of projects, helping us build a portfolio that aligns with our climate goals and meets our own rigorous standards for transparency and credibility.

This partnership reflects a broader shift in the market. Leading companies are moving beyond generic offsets, demanding real impact, measurable results. At Senken, we don’t just facilitate transactions, we build scientifically rigorous carbon portfolios, ensuring businesses invest in authentic climate projects rather than empty claims.

We are proud to support Vodafone as they continue their journey toward net zero across their entire value chain by 2040. And we are here to help other organizations do the same, by making corporate climate action achievable and credible.
